Thank you so much for everybody that donated "Kuranda Beds". We have enough for the fosters that we take in, but still are still short to help others that are scattered within the 5 states we cover. "Kuranda Beds" are the few lower cost beds we have found that the new, untrained, deaf and/or/blind do and can not destroy, and can very comfortable for your trained dog(s).

"Kuranda Beds" are for the Danes that have nowhere to sleep except a hard floor or wherever they can find room.

NW FL GREAT DANE RESCUE, Inc. (NWFLGDR Inc.) is a group of volunteers who exist to donate their time and money to rescue Great Danes from Animal Controls, Humane Societies, P.A.W.S., ASPCAs, Vets, and owners who must surrender their Dane due to hardship. We do not have a "shelter" location. We foster the Danes in our homes and evaluate and temperament test them until we can place them into a permanent home. We are a 501(c)3 organization based out of Pensacola, FL. We serve a large coverage area from Jacksonville, FL across the I-10 corridor west thru southern GA, along the Panhandle of FL, Alabama, Mississippi, and into Louisiana down to New Orleans. All Danes are brought current on vaccines, spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, and heartworm tested prior to adoption.

We are a 501(c)3 organization, so you can claim your donation of money or goods on your taxes.

Because of the I.R.S. laws, our effective date of being Federal Tax exempt is our date of incorporation, March 20, 2008. We are also approved with the State of Florida for sales tax exemption. Any donations you make over $60, you will recieve a receipt that you can deduct off your taxes.

Everyone who fosters for NW FL Great Dane Rescue Inc. does so on a volunteer basis. Our running costs are strictly vet bills and daily maintenance (food, collars, treats, beds, leashes, toys, ect) The adoption donations help to defer most of the vet bills, but our volunteers still end up paying out of pocket expenses. If you want to help a Dane in rescue, five dollars is a huge amount... a leash is just as important!
